En CrossFit Alhaurín  preferimos mantener las abreviaciones de la terminologia  CrossFit en inglés por la simple razón, que nuestros alumnos crossfiteros puedan entender mejor los ejercicios navegando por internet , consultando www.crossfit.com o viendo CrossFit Games.

  • AMRAP: As Many Rounds- Reps  as Possible ( Cuantas vueltas- repeticiones sea posible)

  • BP: Bench press (Press banca)

  • BS: Back squat( Sentadilla detras de la nuca)

  • BW (or BWT): Body weight ( Peso corporal)

  • CFT:CrossFit Total – consisting of max squat, press, and deadlift. ( Consiste en maximas repeticiones de sentadilla, press y peso muerto)

  • CFWU:CrossFit Warm-up ( Calentamiento de CrossFit)

  • CLN: Clean( Cargada)

  • C&J: Clean and jerk( Cargada y jerk)

  • C2: Concept II rowing machine( Concept II remo)

  • DL: Deadlift ( Peso muerto)

  • FS: Front squat ( Sentadilla frontal)

  • GHD: Glute ham developer. Posterior chain exercise, like a back extension. (Desarollador de gluteos y isquiotibiales e abdominales)

  • HSPU: Hand stand push up. Kick up into a handstand (use wall for balance, if needed) bend arms until nose touches floor and push back up. ( Flexiones de brazos en posición vertical “en pino” )

  • HSQ: Hang squat (clean or snatch). Start with bar “at the hang,” about knee height. Initiate pull. As the bar rises drop into a full squat and catch the bar in the racked position. From there, rise to a standing position ( Sentadilla colgante)

  • KB: Kettlebell ( Pesa rusa)

  • K2E: Knees to elbows. Similar to TTBs described below.( rodillas a los codos)

  • MetCon: Metabolic Conditioning workout ( Entrenamineto de condicionamiento metabolico)

  • MP: Military press ( Press militar) 

  • MU: Muscle ups. Hanging from rings you do a combination pull-up and dip so you end in an upright support. (En anillas combinación de dominada e Dip terminando en posición erquida)

  • OHS: Overhead squat. Full-depth squat performed while arms are locked out in a wide grip press position above (and usually behind) the head. ( Sentadilla de arranque)

  • PC: Power clean ( Cargada de fuerza)

  • Pd: Pood, weight measure for kettlebells ( Medición de pesa rusa)

  • PR: Personal record ( Record personal)

  • PP: Push press ( Press de hombro)

  • PSN: Power snatch ( Arrancada de fuerza)

  • PU: Pull-ups, possibly push ups depending on the context

  • Rep: Repetition. One performance of an exercise. ( Repetición)

  • Rx’d; as Rx’d: As prescribed; as written. WOD done without any adjustments.   (Peso y forma requerido en WOD´s )

  • RM: Repetition maximum. Your 1RM is your max lift for one rep. Your 10 RM is the most you can lift 10 times. ( Repetición maxima)

  • SDHP: Sumo deadlift high pull (Peso muerto de sumo llevando la barra arriba hasta el mentón)

  • Set: A number of repetitions. e.g., 3 sets of 10 reps, often seen as 3×10, means do 10 reps, rest, repeat, rest, repeat.( Numero de repeticiones)

  • SN: Snatch (Arrancada)

  • SQ: Squat (Sentadilla)

  • TGU: Turkish get-up (Levantamiento Turco)

  • TTB: Toes to bar. Hang from bar. Bending only at waist raise your toes to touch the bar, slowly lower them and repeat. (  Pies a barra)

  • WO, sometimes W/O: Workout ( Entrenamiento)

  • WOD: Workout of the day( Entrenamiento del dia)
